Protest wird allmählich zum schicken Konsumartikel, nach der Formel Folk+Rock+Protest= Dollars.
Dylan spielt erstmals elektrische Gitarre auf der Bühne, wird ausgebuht. Sein 6. Album präsentiert den elektrischen Dylan, nach Ansicht von BD sein bisher bestes Album. Like A Rolling Stone war seine erste Nummer in den Top Fortys.
