Theodor Bertram (b.12 February 1869, Stuttgart, Germany; d. 24 November 1907, Bayreuth, Germany), baritone.
Theodor Bertram was known above all for Wagner and Mozart roles (he also played the part of Wotan at the Court Opera during his career). Mahler knew Theodor Bertram from his time in Hamburg, where Mahler was Kapellmeister at the Stadttheater between 1891 and 1897. Bertram first came to Vienna as a guest performer in 1901.
