Ocular Prosthetics and Digital Visuality

An examination of technologies under development will include a presentation of a criticalfictional CD-ROM digital art piece by Brian Goldfarb, titled Ocular Convergence. It presents a fictional consortium of researchers working on synthetic digital ocular implants. The project invites participants to consider the ethical and experiential questions that emerge with the direct networking of the optic nerve a technology that allows for two or more people to share vision.
